HCA Awards 2007
Judging of the HCA Awards took place on Wednesday 27 March 2007. The winners of each category was announced at The President’s Dinner held at the HCA National Conference on 26 April 2007 at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel.

Andy Jones - Director of Catering , ISS Mediclean
Andy started his career in 1981 and has demonstrated innovation and resourcefulness throughout his career. Instrumental in the Tri-partie group delivering meals in Leicestershire. Introduced Costa Coffee in Paddington, Temprite in Liverpool. Significantly contributed to healthcare catering, striving for full compliance of protected meals. Developed services for staff and visitors, launched the company manual called Cutting Edge and a Taste of Health Programme.

Robert McLaughlin - Catering Manager , Ayrshire Central Hospital
Robert was appointed 10 months ago and has literally turned the “Titanic” around by reducing the catering trading loss by £140,000 and improving the dining service. He is currently working on options to relocate the current kitchen facilities.

Frimley Park Hospital have obtained Hospitality Assured - the standard for service and business excellence, Surrey Health Food Hygiene Award and STS Certificate of Excellence in Food Safety.
Chairman's Choice Award

Karoline Rowlands and Ron Hedicker accept the Chairman's Choice Award on behalf of the West of England Branch.
The West of England Branch has stayed true to the aims of the HCA and has supported and actively promoted the aims of the Association throughout 2006. The Branch Officers have been very professional and dedicated to all aspects of their individual roles.
