From Michael Masters
At our April Branch meeting, which was held at The Christie Hospital, Manchester, we wished ‘good luck but not farewell’ to Joy Ingram who has taken early retirement from her post at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
We held our May meeting at Carden Park Hotel, Chester, after which we took part in a clay pigeon shoot, using laser-guided shotguns. Some Members were good shots, others not so good. The overall winner was Dylan Jones of Findus, who claimed it was thanks to him wearing his Ray Mears survival trousers. Everyone else thought he was just lucky.
Our June Branch Meeting was held at Leighton Hospital, Crewe.
On 9 July we will be attending the annual Joint Branch Barbecue at Kitchequip, Southport. In attendance will be Caroline Lecko, Patient Safety Lead (Nutrition and Pressure Ulcers), at the National Patient Safety Agency.
