Get involved and make your mark - HCA Conference 2012 Workshops - Friday 27 April 2012

On the last afternoon of the HCA 2012 Conference, we are using an external team development provider to run a 2 hr+ event that will get you all working together on various activities. These Workshops have been designed in response to your comments from previous years where you said you wanted to spend more time to get to know the Delegates, away from your Stands and the formal Conference proceedings.

The Workshops will involve all Delegates and Suppliers in a series of team based activities, working in three equal groups in rotation around three major tasks. The groups will be made up from a mix of the Suppliers and Delegates.

One of the activities - the Team Challenge - will involve small teams of you visiting a number of the Supplier Stands to gain the information, facts or resources, identified by the Suppliers/you. It is up to you what level or type of information you wish the teams to obtain (you can be as creative as you like as long as they can gain the information in less than a minute), and this information will be used to design the Team Challenge activity.

We’d like all Stands/Exhibitors to take advantage of this opportunity, so we need you to have a think about what information, fact/s or resource you would wish the teams to gain from your Stand. For example, this could be:

  • Gathering some information about your company
  • Gaining a key fact about your services or USP
  • Identifying and drawing your company logo
  • Picking up an item/gizmo/gift from your Stand

And given that you will all be participating in the team activities in mixed Delegates/Supplier teams, there will/may be no-one at your Stand to provide the information, and therefore you may want to take this into consideration as you design your Stand in the coming months to ensure that this ‘said’ information/fact/gift can be provided, without one of your representatives being on the Stand.

We are sure that you will see the Workshops as a fun and informative networking opportunity. And as the Team Challenge will give you another chance to share targeted information about your latest developments or products, we encourage you to please get involved. Have a good think about exactly what you would like to promote, or ask the Delegates to find out, or collect from your Stand, and then let us know what you’ve chosen, by filling in the details on the Form, (see link below), and returning it to us, by latest, Wednesday, 29 February 2012.

Finally, please also note that this team activity will be finishing at c.16:05 on Friday, 27 April, and therefore Stands are not to be dismantled until after that time. Exhibition break down will be from 16.00 until 18.30.
