The NHS is a vibrant, proactive and dynamic public service which is constantly striving to improve the services it provides to the general public of the United Kingdom. The Hospital Caterers Association shares the same values as the NHS, and is constantly striving for improvement. And whilst the HCA continues to lead the way, and demonstrate best practice, the 2010 National Conference intends to ‘challenge’ Delegates to improve their performance to exceed customer expectations in what is now ‘the business of Healthcare’.
The 2010 Conference theme is ‘RAISING THE BAR’ - aligned to the idea that the Conference will equip Delegates with the knowledge, tools and skills to make their Hospital, Trust or Organisation the ‘service of choice’. So we’re ‘upping the ante’, quite literally, by focusing on the NHS business objectives of: Quality and Experience; Human Resources; Financial Management and Governance. So it’s going to be a very aspirational, motivational, and forward and upward looking HCA National Conference, considering the four main issues of:
- Performance;
- Hospital of Choice;
- Financial Restraints, and
- Continuous Improvement.
The overriding message is, ‘Don’t come to Conference for a rest!’ We’re planning to offer Delegates a number of separate Workshops within the Programme that will allow for a degree of choice of subject matter, and hoping that you will play your part by getting fully involved.
